The following agencies and child serving systems support the Chester County Youth Suicide Prevention Task Force:

American Day Treatment Center
For individuals with psychiatric and emotional disorders who do not require 24-hour inpatient care, American Day Treatment Center is a cost-effective option. Although it is a day program, American Day provides the structure and intensity that is typical of an inpatient program. The Center's treatment team is led by a board-certified psychiatrist and provides a multi-faceted therapeutic experience on a daily basis.

 

 Crime Victims Center of Chester County
The Crime Victims Center of Chester County, Inc. provides free and confidential services to victims and their family members and significant others who reside in or were victimized in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is the leading not-for-profit organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research and education, and to reaching out to people with mood disorders and those impacted by suicide.

 

 Devereux Foundation
Devereux is a non-profit organization providing services around the nation for persons with emotional, developmental & educational disabilities.

Brooke Glenn Behavioral Hospital
Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital is an acute treatment facility for adults, adolescents and children located in the Philadelphia suburb of Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.

 

 Domestic Violence Center of Chester County
The Mission of the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, Inc. is to provide intervention, programs, outreach and advocacy to prevent, reduce and remedy domestic violence in Chester County.

Chester County Department of Children, Youth and Families
Chester County Department of Children, Youth and Families was established by the Board of County Commissioners as the child welfare agency which provides comprehensive services to abused, neglected and dependent children and youth to age 18, and their families. Services are provided without regard to: race, color, religious creed, ancestry, handicap, age or national origin.

 

 

Feeling Blue Suicide Prevention Council
Feeling Blue Suicide Prevention Council is a community-based organization dedicated to preventing suicide, reducing the stigma associated with suicide, and supporting those people affected by depression or by the loss of a loved one to suicide. We do this through education and support.

Chester County Juvenile Probation Department
To create balanced and restorative plans for juvenile offenders that involve their families, victims, and community in order to ensure accountability, community protection, and the development of valued skills, while upholding the rights of victims.

PA Network for Student Assistance Services
The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program (SAP) is to help students overcome these barriers in order that they may achieve, remain in school, and advance.  While Student Assistance Programs exist in other areas of the country, the structure and operation of the program in Pennsylvania is a unique expression of an integrated model serving the needs of Pennsylvania families and their students.

The Pennsylvania Youth Suicide Prevention Initiative
In 2001, Pennsylvania developed its own youth suicide prevention plan, based on the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention: Goals and Objectives for Action. One of the goals in the plan is to "promote awareness that youth suicide is a public health problem that is preventable." This web site is one way we are working to achieve that goal.

SPAN - Suicide Prevention Action Network
SPAN USA is dedicated to preventing suicide through public education and awareness, community engagement, and federal, state and local grassroots advocacy. By empowering those who have been touched by suicide, SPAN USA seeks to advance the implementation of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention.

The mission of The Coad Group is to promote healthy and safe communities by offering effective programs and services to address the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs, focus on mental health concerns and provide educational opportunities designed to support responsible choices and behaviors.
